Hour of Code
In December, Pembina Trails students were invited to participate in Hour of Code, a program that teaches students that computer science is fun and accessible for all. Students were engaged and motivated to continue with Hour of Code. A Grade 2 Technology Club has since formed that gives younger students the opportunity to learn more about programming.

Grade 3/4 Book Club
Grade 3 & 4 students have the opportunity to meet once a cycle on Day 2 to read and discuss books. Offering a variety of options, the students self-selected good fit books to share aloud, or read silently. There are discussion topics and creative options to extend their learning when the reading is done.
